The Nokia-IYF global youth development initiative, active in 20-plus countries, equips young people with the knowledge and skills they need to participate as active citizens now and in the future.
Country programs, implemented by local non-governmental organizations, focus on developing basic life skills, such as self-confidence, goal setting, conflict resolution, and teamwork. Through developing such skills, young people benefit in such areas as improved school performance, increased literacy, enhanced job readiness, and ability to contribute to their communities.
Since 2000, more than 330,000 young people in 24 countries have participated in local programs designed to meet local needs. |
